Having an E.P.I.C. holiday is all about being grateful for the things we have and giving what we can to those who need it most. Read the stories about how Jigsaw and C.O.nxt employee-owners have been participating in our communities and, if your heart is filled with inspiration, follow the links to join in on the spirit of giving. Or, if you have another cause that fills your heart, share your story below to inspire our E.P.I.C. giving in the new year.
American Red Cross
Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood and/or platelets. Many of our employee-owners have given blood throughout the year to help fulfill this need, including Senior Art Director Suzanne Brown and EVP Creative Services Jen Wallace. If you have an extra pint or so to add, you can find a bank near you below.
United Way
United Way works with schools, parents and partners to ensure every child is equipped for success in school, work and life. We held two group sessions in which we helped put together STEM and Behavioral Health packets for local education centers. If you have a group that wants to have as much fun giving back as we did, follow the link below.
La Casa de Esperanza
In partnership with the United Way, we worked together assembly-line style to make fresh sandwich lunches for La Casa de Esperanza, a Milwaukee-area organization helping the community achieve full social and economic participation in society, with an emphasis on the Hispanic population. They have many ways you can help support their mission, which you can learn all about below.
Tell Us Your Giving Story
We’re always looking for more ways to spread our E.P.I.C. cheer. Tell us about an organization or cause close to your heart that we could add to our giving list in 2024.
Father Gene’s Help Center
We helped Father Gene’s Help Center provide dignity through free clothing to people in need by volunteering our time to sort and display donated merchandise. If you’re in or around the Milwaukee area and want to donate your time or lightly used apparel, follow the link below.
Hunger Task Force
Hunger Task Force is dedicated to delivering food with dignity to those in need. We did our small part by hosting a food drive that collected 533 pounds of non-perishable food and $456, all donated by the employee-owners of Jigsaw and C.O.nxt. If your pantry has items to spare, you can add to that total by following the link below.
WMSE
WMSE is small Milwaukee radio station whose mission is to educate the members of our community with a wide selection of musical programming they can’t hear anywhere else. Independently funded, they’re operations largely rely on the donated talents of music lovers like our genius Front End Developer Marty Defatte, who helped their team enhance their digital presence. If you’re in the area and want to help support their unique mission, hit the button below.
Lodi High School
Is there any better gift than the gift of knowledge? Our Senior Public Relations Supervisor Rochelle Schnadt and her husband Evan took the time to speak to the Ag Processing class about the types of grains they grow and the milling process that they use at their artisan grains business, Heartland Craft Grains.
